Rolling hook is a traditional and important contact based search and salvage tool in water rescue operations, especially in body salvage. It is mainly used to hook and drag underwater objects (usually the bodies of victims or sunken objects) when suspicious targets are detected by sonar and other detection equipment, or when the approximate location of the water is known but the water is turbid, the visibility is low, the water flow is turbulent, and the underwater environment is complex (such as weeds, rocks, and debris accumulation), making it difficult for divers to safely and effectively search underwater.
Core functions:
Underwater contact search: When visual search is not possible, perceive and hook the target object by physically contacting the bottom of the water.
Target object hooking and fixation: Use sharp hooks to hook up the target object (clothing, skin, protruding parts of the object).
Target salvage: Drag the hooked target to the water surface or shallow water area for subsequent processing.
Search area coverage: Through systematic dragging operations, conduct a carpet like investigation of the bottom of specific water bodies.
